New Jersey Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2017

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 1,785,444 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in New Jersey and they represented 20.09% of the total population of New Jersey in 2017.

Hudson County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (288,100), followed by Passaic County (207,759), and Bergen County (184,888). On the other hand, Salem County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (5,743), followed by Cape May County (7,292), and Hunterdon County (8,098).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Hudson County had the highest percentage (42.82%), followed by Passaic County (41.19%), and Union County (31.34%).
