New Mexico Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2020

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2020, there were 1,013,491 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in New Mexico and they represented 47.84% of the total population of New Mexico in 2020.

Bernalillo County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (329,929), followed by Doña Ana County (148,190), and Santa Fe County (74,497). On the other hand, Harding County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (281), followed by Catron County (620), and De Baca County (665).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Mora County had the highest percentage (79.27%), followed by Guadalupe County (77.41%), and San Miguel County (75.41%).
