Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 9,745,016 people in Texas who identified as Hispanic or Latino. Among this group, 94.65% (9,224,069) identified their race as White, 1.84% (179,284) identified their race as Black or African American, and 1.78% (173,722) identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native.
