California Net Domestic Migration By County in 2018

According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2018, the net domestic migration for California was -160,192. Riverside County had the highest net domestic migration (18,378) followed by Placer County (6,942), and San Joaquin County (4,258). On the other hand, Los Angeles County had the lowest net domestic migration (-99,487), followed by Santa Clara County (-25,110), and Orange County (-20,664).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
