According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the net domestic migration for Mississippi was -7,975. DeSoto County had the highest net domestic migration (2,357) followed by Harrison County (1,443), and Yazoo County (511). On the other hand, Hinds County had the lowest net domestic migration (-3,294), followed by Lauderdale County (-1,131), and Washington County (-1,045).
