According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net domestic migration for Montana was 20,376. Flathead County had the highest net domestic migration (4,037) followed by Gallatin County (2,926), and Yellowstone County (2,189). On the other hand, Richland County had the lowest net domestic migration (-238), followed by Rosebud County (-197), and Big Horn County (-131).
