According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2019, the net domestic migration for New York was -183,857. Ontario County had the highest net domestic migration (162) followed by Dutchess County (144), and Orange County (137). On the other hand, Kings County had the lowest net domestic migration (-45,373), followed by Queens County (-41,418), and Bronx County (-31,170).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
