According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the net domestic migration for North Carolina was 32,211. Wake County had the highest net domestic migration (11,435) followed by Mecklenburg County (9,319), and Harnett County (2,401). On the other hand, Onslow County had the lowest net domestic migration (-5,738), followed by Cumberland County (-924), and Edgecombe County (-634).
