According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the net domestic migration for Pennsylvania was -27,494. Montgomery County had the highest net domestic migration (1,482) followed by Monroe County (1,362), and Northampton County (1,085). On the other hand, Philadelphia County had the lowest net domestic migration (-10,697), followed by Allegheny County (-8,091), and Erie County (-3,475).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
