According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2013, the net domestic migration for Tennessee was 13,411. Williamson County had the highest net domestic migration (4,406) followed by Rutherford County (4,105), and Davidson County (2,552). On the other hand, Shelby County had the lowest net domestic migration (-8,199), followed by Montgomery County (-3,667), and Weakley County (-348).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
