Virginia Net Domestic Migration By County in 2012

According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the net domestic migration for Virginia was 4,483. Loudoun County had the highest net domestic migration (4,963) followed by Prince William County (2,987), and Richmond city (2,460). On the other hand, Fairfax County had the lowest net domestic migration (-4,144), followed by Virginia Beach city (-3,536), and Newport News city (-2,525).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
