According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the net domestic migration for West Virginia was -10,139. Berkeley County had the highest net domestic migration (1,284) followed by Jefferson County (392), and Morgan County (196). On the other hand, Kanawha County had the lowest net domestic migration (-2,311), followed by Raleigh County (-1,032), and Cabell County (-920).

Net Domestic Migration for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico).
