According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net domestic migration rate for Louisiana was -6.1. Livingston Parish had the highest net domestic migration rate (19.75) followed by West Feliciana Parish (19.72), and St. Tammany Parish (18.01). On the other hand, Cameron Parish had the lowest net domestic migration rate (-94.38), followed by Calcasieu Parish (-51.84), and Vernon Parish (-18.47).

Net Domestic migration rate for a given county refers to the the difference between number of people moving to the county from other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and number of people moving out of the county to other parts of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) per 1,000 of the mid-year population of the county.
