According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2020, the net migration for Maryland was -13,301. Frederick County had the highest net migration (3,582) followed by Anne Arundel County (1,096), and Harford County (952). On the other hand, Baltimore city had the lowest net migration (-8,629), followed by Prince George's County (-5,955), and Montgomery County (-4,385).

Net migration for a county refers to the difference between the number of migrants, both domestic and international, moving to the county and those leaving the county. Or to put it simply, the net migration for a given county is the inbound migration minus the outbound migration for that county.
