According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2018, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Kentucky was 0.56. Lee County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (30.8), followed by Meade County (21.02), and Simpson County (18.61). On the other hand, Hickman County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-18.31), followed by Letcher County (-16.85), and Carlisle County (-15.16).
