According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Massachusetts was -1.4. Hampshire County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (117.83), followed by Barnstable County (27.68), and Dukes County (25.98). On the other hand, Suffolk County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-30.95), followed by Middlesex County (-8.93), and Hampden County (-2.69).
