According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2018, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Michigan was -0.18. Alcona County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (16.64), followed by Montmorency County (14.27), and Roscommon County (13.63). On the other hand, Isabella County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-11.69), followed by Gogebic County (-10.84), and Gratiot County (-8.58).
