According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Mississippi was -0.71. Claiborne County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (17.46), followed by Lamar County (15.65), and Hancock County (14.63). On the other hand, Wilkinson County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-29.93), followed by Jefferson Davis County (-24.04), and Leake County (-24.01).
