According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Mississippi was -2.15. Yazoo County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (20.14), followed by Pontotoc County (14.74), and Benton County (12.68). On the other hand, Coahoma County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-32.02), followed by Jefferson County (-27.82), and Bolivar County (-23.51).
