According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Missouri was 3.36. Hickory County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (46.83), followed by Ozark County (43.81), and Benton County (38.57). On the other hand, St. Louis city had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-23.13), followed by Pemiscot County (-17.71), and Shelby County (-15.6).
