According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Montana was 3.55. Wibaux County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (59.52), followed by Richland County (55.87), and Sheridan County (38.47). On the other hand, Mineral County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-23.47), followed by Wheatland County (-18.96), and Big Horn County (-16.27).
