According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for South Carolina was 4.58. Horry County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (17.65), followed by Berkeley County (16.34), and Dorchester County (16.19). On the other hand, Hampton County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-14.9), followed by McCormick County (-13.94), and Dillon County (-13.94).
