Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, among all Connecticut counties, South Central Connecticut Planning Region had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (13.49%), followed by Capitol Planning Region (12.15%), and Naugatuck Valley Planning Region (11.88%).
