Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, among all Indiana counties, Marion County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (28.9%), followed by Lake County (23.31%), and St. Joseph County (13.28%).
