According to the CDC data, in 2021, the life expectancy for 87 year olds in the US was 5.4 years. The Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native ethnicity group had the highest life expectancy (6.5 years), followed by the Non-Hispanic Asian ethnicity group (6.4 years), and the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity group (6.0).
