Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, the following US states were among the top 5 who had the highest percentage of their Grade 4 students being proficient in Science, based on state-wide assessment: New York (80%), Pennsylvania (71.9%), Wisconsin (51.6%), Wyoming (49.6%), and Tennessee (48.6%).
