Drunk Drivers Involved In Fatal Crashes By Age for the US (2017)
Updated on March 30, 2019.
It seems the 25-34 year-old age group likes to live very dangerously, because, they had the highest number of drunk drivers (2,843) involved in fatal crashes in (2017). Obviously, the 65-74 year old and 75+ year-old age groups had the lowest number of drunk drivers involved in fatal crashes, 387 and 191 respectively. I guess the famous quote "with age comes wisdom, but sometimes age comes alone" aptly applies here.
A driver is considered to be alcohol impaired when his blood alcohol concentrations (BACs) is .08 grams per deciliter (g/dL) or higher.
