Life Expectancy Of African Countries 2017

In 2017, there were four African countries with life expectancy less than 55 years. These countries include: Nigeria (54.843), Sierra Leone (54.697), Lesotho (54.568) Chad (53.208), and Central African Republic (52.89).

Cape Verde, and all the Northern African countries with the exception of Sudan had life expectancy greater than 70 years. Algeria had the highest life expectancy in Africa (76.293), followed by Morrocco (76.059), Tunisia (75.943), Cape Verde 75.812, Libya (72.11), and Egypt (71.661).
