With a population of 195.9 million, Nigeria was the most populated country in Africa in 2018. Ethiopia was the second most populated country with a population 109.2 million. Other highly populated countries include: Egypt (98 million), Democratic Republic of the Congo (84 million), South Africa (58 million), Tanzania (56 million), and Kenya (51 million).
