According to data from the World Bank, in 1997, Seychelles had the highest GDP per Capita (US$ 7746.7), followed by Libya (US$ 6262.49), and Gabon (US$ 4514.99).

On the other hand, Liberia had the lowest GDP per capita (US$ 124.16), followed by Democratic Republic of the Congo (US$ 135.89), and Ethiopia (US$ 143.77).
