GDP for Africa By Country in 1985

According to data from the World Bank, in 1985, Nigeria had the highest GDP (US$ 73.75B), followed by South Africa (US$ 64.46B), and Algeria (US$ 57.94B).

On the other hand, Equatorial Guinea had the lowest GDP (US$ 62.12M), followed by Sao Tome and Principe (US$ 82.73M), and Cape Verde (US$ 137.73M).

The World Bank defines GDP (Gross Domestic product) as "the sum of gross value added by all resident producers in the economy plus any product taxes and minus any subsidies not included in the value of the products" .
