GDP of Africa By Country in 2012

According to data from the World Bank, in 2012, among all African countries, Nigeria had the highest GDP (US$ 463.97B), followed by South Africa (US$ 434.4B), and Egypt (US$ 279.12B).

On the other hand, Sao Tome and Principe had the lowest GDP (US$ 225.82M).

The World Bank defines GDP as "the sum of gross value added by all resident producers in the economy plus any product taxes and minus any subsidies not included in the value of the products"
