According to the World Bank, the total youth unemployment rate of Somalia was 35.63% in 2022, a difference of +0.28 points from 2021; and the total labor force of Somalia in 2022 was 3,158,162. The most recent figures on male and female unemployment rates were 33.63% and 39.05% respectively in 2022.

The World Bank defines youth unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment".
