According to the World Bank, the total youth unemployment rate of Zambia was 22.63% in 2019, a difference of -0.07 points from 2018; and the total labor force of Zambia in 2019 was 7,390,080. The most recent figures on male and female unemployment rates were 21.08% and 24.19% respectively in 2019.

The World Bank defines youth unemployment rate as "the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment".
