Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, among the 422,144 of Wake County, NC households, there were 59,729 households (14.15%) that had a household income that fell in the $200K - and Over category, and there were 46,131 households (10.93%) that had a household income that fell in the $150K - Less $200K category.

On the other hand, there were 88,540 households (20.97%) that had a household income that fell in the Less $40K category, and there were 28,404 households (6.73%) that had a household income that fell in the $40K - Less $50K category.
