Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of Non-Hispanic White Alone households in South Carolina with household income of less than $40k was 28.13%. Among all South Carolina cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Gaffney city had the highest percentage of Non-Hispanic White Alone households with household income of less than $40k (58.58%), followed by Dentsville CDP (52.31%), and Greenwood city (49.78%).

On the other hand, the following 3 cities had low percentages of Non-Hispanic White Alone households with household income of less than $40k: Fort Mill town (8.16%), Five Forks CDP (9.61%), and James Island town (10.43%).
