Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of White Alone households in Maine with household income of less than $40k was 31.29%. Among all Maine cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Augusta city had the highest percentage of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k (48.90%), followed by Waterville city (47.16%), and Bangor city (42.67%).

On the other hand, the following 3 cities had low percentages of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k: South Portland city (23.30%), Saco city (23.64%), and Brunswick CDP (26.74%).
