Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of households in Delaware with household income of less than $40k was 26.67%. Among all Delaware cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Wilmington city had the highest percentage of households with household income of less than $40k (43.30%), followed by Milford city (40.62%), and Dover city (40.54%).
On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had low percentages of households with household income of less than $40k: Hockessin CDP (10.33%), Glasgow CDP (11.07%), and Middletown town (16.13%).
