Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of households in Washington with household income of less than $40k was 22.61%. Among all Washington cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Pullman city had the highest percentage of households with household income of less than $40k (55.33%), followed by Cheney city (48.85%), and Aberdeen city (47.48%).

On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had low percentages of households with household income of less than $40k: Snoqualmie city (2.42%), Cottage Lake CDP (4.23%), and Sammamish city (5.89%).
