Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of White Alone households in California with household income of less than $40k was 22.74%. Among all California counties, Trinity County had the highest percentage of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k (45.93%), followed by Humboldt County (38.95%), and Tehama County (38.88%).

On the other hand, the following 3 counties had low percentages of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k: San Mateo County (13.34%), Santa Clara County (13.71%), and Marin County (14.78%).
