Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of White Alone households in Maine with household income of less than $40k was 31.29%. Among all Maine counties, Washington County had the highest percentage of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k (43.55%), followed by Somerset County (43.50%), and Aroostook County (43.20%).

On the other hand, the following 3 counties had low percentages of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k: Cumberland County (22.01%), Sagadahoc County (25.31%), and York County (25.73%).
