Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of White Alone households in Massachusetts with household income of less than $40k was 22.04%. Among all Massachusetts counties, Berkshire County had the highest percentage of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k (32.05%), followed by Hampden County (31.26%), and Franklin County (28.86%).

On the other hand, the following 3 counties had low percentages of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k: Nantucket County (16.93%), Norfolk County (16.97%), and Middlesex County (17.36%).
