Ranking of South Dakota Counties By Percentage of White Alone Households with Household Income of Less than $40K in 2021 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of White Alone households in South Dakota with household income of less than $40k was 27.92%. Among all South Dakota counties, Jackson County had the highest percentage of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k (47.42%), followed by Haakon County (41.19%), and Gregory County (40.33%).

On the other hand, the following 3 counties had low percentages of White Alone households with household income of less than $40k: Oglala Lakota County (0.00%), Lincoln County (15.62%), and Lyman County (19.22%).
