Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of households in Nevada with household income of less than $40k was 29.59%. Among all Nevada counties, Esmeralda County had the highest percentage of households with household income of less than $40k (59.30%), followed by Mineral County (48.36%), and Nye County (40.27%).

On the other hand, the following 3 counties had low percentages of households with household income of less than $40k: Douglas County (24.05%), Washoe County (25.02%), and Elko County (25.98%).
