Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group in Iowa was 9.3%. Among all Iowa counties, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest poverty rate in Appanoose County (19.62%), followed by Story County (17.58%), and Wapello County (15.7%). On the other hand, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 counties: Lyon County (4.28%), Mitchell County (4.61%), and Dallas County (4.67%).
