Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group in North Carolina was 9.54%. Among all North Carolina counties, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest poverty rate in Watauga County (22.04%), followed by Jones County (18.48%), and Richmond County (17.93%). On the other hand, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 counties: Union County (4.97%), Wake County (5.4%), and Chatham County (5.55%).
