Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the American Indian and Alaska Native Alone racial group in Alaska was 23.63%. Among all Alaska counties, the American Indian and Alaska Native Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in Kusilvak Census Area (38.89%), followed by Bethel Census Area (32.21%), and Nome Census Area (27.09%). On the other hand, the American Indian and Alaska Native Alone racial group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 counties: Denali Borough (0%), Chugach Census Area (1%), and Yakutat City and Borough (1.14%).
