Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the American Indian and Alaska Native Alone racial group in New Mexico was 31.43%. Among all New Mexico counties, the American Indian and Alaska Native Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in Sierra County (80%), followed by Socorro County (67.62%), and Grant County (55.05%).
