Among all Alabama counties, the White Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in Sumter County (23.72%), followed by Geneva County (20.91%), and Winston County (19.36%). On the other hand, the White Alone racial group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 counties: Shelby County (5.97%), Wilcox County (6.42%), and Coosa County (6.79%).
