Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of Hispanic or Latino of All Races households in the United States with household income of less than $40k was 33.78%. Among all US states and DC, Mississippi had the highest percentage of Hispanic or Latino of All Races households with household income of less than $40k (44.20%), followed by Alabama (44.13%), and New Mexico (42.74%). On the other hand, the following 3 states had low percentages of Hispanic or Latino of All Races households with household income of less than $40k: District of Columbia (20.35%), Maryland (20.67%), and Virginia (22.96%).
